Overview

If you run multiple branches, rebuilding an identical (or similar) menu from scratch for each one is time-consuming. The Menu Sync feature lets you copy categories and items from one branch to another in seconds, then customise pricing or availability per branch afterwards.

Go to Restaurant → Menu → Sync while logged into the destination branch (the one you want to copy the menu into).

How to Sync a Menu

  1. Switch to the destination branch using the branch switcher in the admin header.
  2. Go to Restaurant → Menu → Sync.
  3. Select the source branch (the branch you want to copy from) in the dropdown.
  4. Choose which categories and items to import. You can select all or pick specific sections.
  5. Click Sync. The selected items are copied to the destination branch.

Items are copied with their name, description, price, image, variations, and modifiers. Existing items in the destination branch are not deleted or overwritten β€” the sync only adds new items.

After Syncing

The synced items are independent copies. Changes made to the original branch after syncing do not automatically update the copied items. To keep menus aligned, re-run the sync whenever the source menu changes significantly.

Common post-sync tasks per branch:

  • Adjust prices for local costs or market positioning.
  • Hide items unavailable at this branch (mark as inactive).
  • Reassign items to branch-specific printers or kitchen stations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will syncing delete existing items at the destination?

No. Sync only adds items β€” it does not remove or overwrite anything already at the destination branch.

Are inventory recipes copied too?

No. Recipe links (ingredient mappings) are not copied because each branch has its own inventory. Recreate recipes at the destination branch after syncing.

Can I sync from a branch I do not own?

No. Only branches under your own account appear in the source dropdown.
