KYC (Know Your Customer) is a one-time identity verification step required before you can subscribe to a paid plan on Estackly. It confirms that your restaurant is a legitimate food business operating in India. Your documents are encrypted, stored securely, and never shared with third parties.
What you need to prepare
Gather these documents before you start — uploading them all in one go is faster than coming back to correct things later.
Required documents
- PAN Card — your 10-character Permanent Account Number (format: ABCDE1234F) plus a clear scan or photo of the card (JPG, PNG, or PDF, max 2 MB). This is mandatory for all business transactions in India.
- FSSAI Licence — your 14-digit Food Safety and Standards Authority of India licence number, plus the licence certificate as a scan or photo (JPG, PNG, or PDF, max 2 MB). Every food business in India is legally required to hold an FSSAI licence.
Optional documents
- GSTIN & GST Certificate — your 15-character GST Identification Number and a copy of your GST registration certificate. Required only if your annual turnover is ₹20 lakh or more. Providing this enables GST-compliant invoices (CGST/SGST/IGST) for your restaurant.
- Bank Account Details — your bank name, account number, and 11-character IFSC code, plus a scanned copy of a cancelled cheque. Required for receiving payouts and settlements. The cancelled cheque confirms the account number and IFSC.
How to submit your KYC
- After registering, you are automatically redirected to the KYC page at /restaurant/kyc.
- Fill in your PAN number and upload your PAN card scan.
- Fill in your 14-digit FSSAI number and upload the certificate.
- Optionally add your GSTIN, GST certificate, bank details, and a cancelled cheque.
- Click Submit for Verification.
The form validates your PAN and FSSAI number formats in real time before you submit. Make sure the uploaded files are clear and legible — blurry or cropped documents are the most common reason for rejection.
After you submit
You will see a confirmation on the KYC page immediately after submission. The page moves to a "Under Review" state showing the expected timeline.
- The Estackly team reviews your documents, typically within 1–2 business days.
- You will receive an email notification once your KYC is approved or if anything needs to be corrected.
- If you have not heard back within 3 business days, contact support.
If your KYC is rejected
A rejection does not mean you cannot proceed — it just means something needs to be corrected. When your KYC is rejected:
- You will receive an email explaining the reason.
- Log back in and go to the KYC page — the rejection reason is shown at the top of the form.
- Correct the highlighted field(s) and upload fresh documents if needed.
- Click Resubmit for Verification — the review process restarts.
Common rejection reasons: blurry document photo, PAN number does not match the uploaded card, FSSAI number has fewer than 14 digits, or the IFSC code format is wrong.
Explore in Test Mode while you wait
You do not have to wait for KYC approval to start using Estackly. On the KYC page, click Continue in Test Mode Instead to get immediate access to your full dashboard.
- All features — POS, kitchen display, QR menu, staff management — are available in test mode.
- Orders, customers, and reservations created in test mode are flagged as test data.
- When your KYC is approved and you are ready to go live, you can wipe all test data in one click or keep it — your choice.
Test mode is ideal for training your staff and configuring your menu before your first real customer walks in.
After KYC is approved
Once the Estackly team approves your documents, you are redirected to the checkout page where you can choose a subscription plan (Starter, Pro, or Enterprise) and complete payment via Razorpay. After subscribing, if you have not created a restaurant yet, you will be taken to the restaurant setup page to add your first branch.
